Spring
1940 Axis turn:
The white units in the image are French, except for "B" to the north which is
the Belgian army. The 6-0 unit represents the Maginot line. The green units to the left
are a British air unit, a fleet, and an infantry army located in the UK. The Germans
unleash blitzkrieg in the west, as their new airborne army overruns Denmark unopposed. The
two German air units, combined with the four infantry armies stacked with them, attack the
two French armies with "A" on top. One French army is destroyed, but the other
holds its position. Another new German infantry army with the panzer army, drive the
Belgian army south into the hex with the French "A" army. The German infantry
occupies Belgium, while the panzer army advances an additional hex, placing it adjacent to
Paris.
Elsewhere, the German U-boat moves out into the Atlantic to attack allied convoys.
Spring
1940 Allied turn:
The French army in the Maginot line moves to Paris. The German panzer army north of Paris
is attacked by all the adjacent white units plus the British air unit, and is retreated
back into Belgium. The French army from North Africa arrives in south France and screens
the Italian border. The Belgian "B" army surrenders and disappears, having
failed to retake their capital.
Elsewhere, the British 8th army appears in Egypt and moves to Alexandria. The Soviets
continue to attack the Finns and continue to get nowhere.
